1 Objective
iDev
Web Solutions takes its obligations under the Privacy Act seriously and takes
all reasonable steps in order to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of
the personal information that we hold.

iDev's Privacy Policy applies to customers,
job candidates and clients that provide us with their personal information.
The intent of our policy is to ensure that our conduct in handling an
individual's personal information reflects the National Privacy Principles.

3 Visits to Our Web Site
For each visitor to our web site, our web
server collects the following type of information for statistical purposes;

In the case of applications for positions,
iDev holds the following personal information:

This
information is collected to enable us to assess the suitability of a given
candidate for a position that may become available within iDev from time to
time. Wherever possible, IDev will collect information directly from the
prospective candidates. However, in some cases we may receive personal
information from referees or people that have worked with or are working with
the candidate.
5 Storage
We
will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal
information that we hold. This includes appropriate measures to protect
electronic materials and materials stored and generated in hard copy and the
destruction of this material where required.
6 Anonymity
Whenever
it is lawful and practicable, individuals will have the option of not
identifying themselves when dealing with iDev.
7 Access to Personal Information
Where
iDev holds personal information about an individual, iDev will provide the
individual with access to the information on request, in a form or manner
suitable to the individual's reasonable needs, except to the extent that:
- Providing access would pose
a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of any individual;
or
- Providing access would have
an unreasonable impact upon the privacy of answer individuals; or
- The request for access is
frivolous or vexatious; or
- The information relates to
existing legal dispute resolution proceedings between iDev and the
individual, and the information would not be accessible by the process
of discovery in those proceedings; or
- Providing access would
reveal the intentions of iDev in relation to negotiations with the
individual in such a way as to prejudice those negotiations; or
- Providing access would be
unlawful; or
- Denying access is
specifically authorised by law; or
- Providing access would be
likely to prejudice an investigation of possible unlawful activity; or
- Where providing access would
reveal evaluative information generated within iDev in connection with a
commercially sensitive decision-making process, iDev may give the
individual an explanation for the decision, rather than direct access to
the information.
If IDev holds
personal information about an individual and the individual is able to
establish that the information is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, iDev
will take reasonable steps to correct the information so that it is accurate,
complete and up-to-date.

8 Use of Cookies
Cookies
are pieces of information that a website can transfer to an individual's
computer hard drive for tracking site usage and customising site information to
further improve the user experience. Cookies can make using iDev's websites
easier by storing information about your preferences on a website. The use of
cookies is an industry standard, with most major websites using them. Most
Internet browsers are pre-set to accept cookies. However, if you are concerned
about the use of cookies you do have the option to opt-out and refuse the
transfer of cookies to your computer's hard drive.
9 Information Security
Any personal information submitted to an iDev website is
held with the strictest confidence. iDev uses and implements industry standards
for the security and protection of information collected from its users. This
information is securely stored and access is restricted to authorised iDev
employees, ensuring that personal information is protected.
Information submitted by an individual to iDev is used only for the purpose
stipulated at the time that the information is collected. iDev is required by
law not to reveal, disclose, sell, distribute, rent, licence, share or pass on
to any third parties, any personal information provided without first gaining
the express consent of the individual to do so.
Exceptions to this include:

Where there are reasonable grounds to believe that disclosure is
necessary to prevent a threat to life or health; and;

Where iDev is required to provide information in response to
Subpoenas or Warrants or other legal process.
10 Online Forms
When submitting information on some of our sites, we will
collect details such as your name and email address. This information is
essential for us to be able to identify accurately who is using the service and
is indicated by mandatory fields. Other types of information, such as your age
and gender may be collected to help us profile who is using the services and what
their interests are as such this type of information is optional. In general,
you may be asked to provide iDev with personally identifiable information when
you register your interest in our services on our site or update your details
on our site.

Company Service Providers
Personal information may
be transferred confidentially to our service providers for the primary purposes
of carrying out our business services from time to time. Examples include using
our business partners to handle our marketing campaigns and partnering in
selling our products and services; external mail outsourcing agents to handle
our bulk postal requirements; and our bank, merchant or financial agencies to
process your account payments. Wherever possible, we try to get those services
provided to you without those third parties being provided with any of your
personal information. If that is not possible, we require that any third party
is provided with only the minimum necessary information, and it is provided
under terms of strict confidentiality on condition that the third party only
uses it to provide the necessary services.
12 Sale
of Business
If at some time in the
future, we sell all or part of our business, we will need to disclose your
personal information to the buyer so that the buyer can continue to provide
services to you.
13 Call monitoring
Whenever
implemented, monitoring or recording your telephone conversation with us is for
staff training and service quality control purposes only. Your call will not be
monitored if you ask our operator not to do so.
